Where are my exam results?

Digital Exams

For digital exams, results usually take around two weeks for the exam to be marked and results released, as per the information published on the Trinity College London website - https://www.trinitycollege.com/qualifications/digital/digital-grades-diplomas/results.

If you have been waiting for longer than two weeks, there are a few possible reasons:

  1. The examiner has not yet marked the exam,

  2. The operations team may have mistakenly not yet allocated the exam to an examiner,

  3. The exam might be 'Referred'. This means there is a problem with marking the exam, such as a syllabus infringement or poor quality video which prevents the examiners from marking the exam. In this case, you should have received an email directly from the examiner via the Submittable platform with feedback on the issue and guidance to correct it and reupload your exam. Please check your email's Spam/Junk folder for any emails from "Submittable".

It's important to note that if an exam is referred for a syllabus infringement, the marking process takes significantly longer as the exam is sent to a dedicated team within Trinity. They usually quote up to six weeks turnaround time from when the exam is sent to them to release the results.

If you've waited for longer than two weeks and haven't received an email from Submittable, please contact the Trinity SA team and we will follow up with the London examination team to find out why the results haven't been released.

Face-to-Face exams

For practical exams, the exam reports should be distributed by your local representative within two weeks of the exam having taken place.

Certificates are sent from the UK to the Trinity SA head office operated by Vivo Music in Cape Town, around 4 weeks after the exam has been marked.
